Songs Of Love And Resistance (2006/2007)
Shane Howard’s ninth solo album is a homage to simplicity, recorded in his small studio in South West Victoria. Slow, gentle love songs sit comfortably alongside the political and subtly seditious. Howard’s tales of simplicity and truth, surrounded by the voices of his family and friends is refreshing in it’s honesty.
‘Shane Howard has been on the road for a long time now. His art is the story of a man who opened himself to every kind of truth he met along the way and continued as he began, gentle, loving and defiant.’

Another Country (2004)
"Howard's eighth solo album is the work of a master songwriter at his peak.....A masterwork by one of Australia's most enduring independent singer songwriters...".. the work of a poet rather than an activist - songs imbued with an inherent sense of humanity and spirituality as well as superior musicality".

Clan
(1996)
Howard's
seminal folk album has been a huge influence both in Australia
and Ireland. Mary Black recorded 3 songs from this album:
Don't Say OK, Free As Stone and Give A Little. This album
explored the links between Australia and Ireland and drew
parallels between colonial oppression of the indigenous
Irish and indigenous Australians.

The Prime Minister

song penned and sung by Marcia Howard. Shane then finished
the recording in Ireland with Stephen Cooney and Liam O'Maonlai.
